Oxfam-UT is the University of Texas chapter of Oxfam America, a social justice group finding lasting solutions to hunger, poverty, and social injustice. Through consumer activism and legislative action such as the "Make Trade Fair" campaign and the "Make Austin Sweat(shop)free ordinances," we are eradicating systemic poverty in Austin and abroad.
Our meetings are every Tuesday at 7 PM in Parlin 1. Come see what you can do to change the world around you for the better!

HUNGER BANQUET HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR MARCH 5.
Due to the Clinton speech happening tonight, Hunger Banquet has been rescheduled to Wednesday, March 5.
Thanks.
Lianna Foxvog, coordinator for National Sweatfree Communities, will lead a workshop during our general meeting on the history of the Sweatfree movement, how these ordinances affect the actions of brand-name retailers, and how to strategize our campaign with the University Co-op.
There will be no meeting this week, Tuesday March 4, as it directly conflicts with the Democratic caucus.
Meetings will resume again after Spring Break on Tuesday, March 18.
See you at the Hunger Banquet on Wednesday!
